This workshop is suitable for all levels of ability, the emphasis is on introducing you to the full potential of the laser cutter. No previous experience necessary. Course notes provided.

This course is ideal if you are new to laser cutting and would like to know more, if you have access to a laser cutter and would like to know how to get the best out of it, if you are thinking of buying one, if you are planning to use laser cutting in your creative work and possibly outsource to a commercial laser cutting company, or would like to come back to the studio and laser cut your own work, after the course. Understanding the process fully will enable you to make informed decisions in all of the above situations. It is also just a fun way to spend a few days and learn new skills.

I have undertaken a Covid Risk Assessment and put in place a number of measures to ensure the courses are run as safely as possible. This includes social distancing, paper towels at all sinks, providing hand sanitiser and taking the temperature of anyone entering the building with a contactless thermometer. Participants safety is my highest priority and I am delighted to have received excellent feedback from this year’s Summer School course participants in relation to the new Health and Safety measures introduced
